IT & Office Skills Online Self-Study CBT Certification Training Courses - The Options
Congratulations! Hitting upon this feature proves you must be thinking about your future, and if you're considering retraining then you've already got further than most others. Did you know that just one in ten of us describe ourselves as contented at work - yet most will take no corrective action. We implore you to liberate yourself and take action - don't you think you deserve it.
When looking at training, it's essential to initially know your expectations from the career you'd like to train for. Be sure that you would be more satisfied before your energies are focused on re-directing your life. So much better to look at the end goal first, to steer clear of regrets:
* Is working with other people your thing? Are you better with new people or those you know well? Perhaps you prefer not to be disturbed and enjoy responsibilities that you can get on with on your own?
* The banks and building sector are a little shaky at the moment, so which industry will answer your needs?
* Once you've qualified, would you like your skills to get you jobs for the rest of your working life?
* Is it important for your training course to be in an industry where you believe you'll have a job until your pension kicks in?
We would advise that you consider the IT sector - it's no secret that it is one of the few growth sectors. IT isn't all techie people lost in their computer screens the whole time - we know those jobs exist, but most jobs are filled with Joe averages who get on very well.
There are colossal changes coming via technology over the next generation - and it only gets more exciting every day. We are really only just beginning to get to grips with what this change will mean to us. How we correlate with the world as a whole will be significantly affected by computers and the web.
Let's not ignore salaries also - the typical remuneration throughout Britain for the usual IT professional is much greater than average salaries nationally. Chances are that you'll earn a whole lot more than you'd expect to earn doing other work. Apparently there is a lot more room for IT industry development throughout this country. The sector continues to grow hugely, and as we have a significant shortage of skilled professionals, it's not showing any signs that it will even slow down for the significant future.
Make sure that all your certifications are current and what employers are looking for - forget programs that lead to in-house certificates. From the viewpoint of an employer, only the big-boys such as Microsoft, Adobe, Cisco or CompTIA (for example) really carry any commercial clout. Anything less just won't hit the right spot.
